Domaine du Pelican

In a short period, Domaine du Pelican has become one of the most exciting and up-and-coming estates in the Jura. Run biodynamically by the Marquis d’Angerville and with great precision, the wines are made with the same philosophy as in Volnay, using non-interventionist wine making and little new oak. The grapes come from the former old vines belonging to Jacques Puffeney, which is quite a heritage. The wine has a bright, pale ruby colour, an expressive nose of sweet, fresh summer fruit balanced by pure, clean freshness and above all a pretty vivacity and energy on the palate. There wines are so gastronomic and delicious with modern, light cooking that we find ourselves drinking more and more Jura wines.
